Join Ant and Dec, David Walliams, and Sally from the NSPCC’s Schools Service for a special assembly. Featuring highlights from the hugely popular Speak out Stay safe programme, the assembly will help children understand what’s going on, why they may be feeling anxious or worried, and where to get help if they need it.
We know that many children are struggling with increased anxiety because of the coronavirus pandemic – whether they’re missing friends, stressed about schoolwork or concerned about their family’s safety. And for parents and carers, it can be tough to start a conversation about these worries.
This assembly will help children understand the huge changes in their lives. There will even be a Q&A session with Vicky Ford MP, Minister for Children and Families, featuring questions from children.

Home learning routes
Discovery Education have created ready-made route paths to help children learn from home. These route paths include video clips, text and glossaries for learning as well as art, design and technology and creative writing challenges for children to apply and demonstrate what they have learned.
Don’t believe us? Well, simply log into Discovery Education/Espresso with your Username and Password and search for Home Learning Routes.
Can you build the ‘little pigs house?’ Or can you build the ‘Solar System?’ Perhaps, you’re more of an explorer than a designer? If so, why not become a ‘Pet Detective’ or even a ‘Viking Explorer?’
These are just a few of the many learning routes. So, don’t be shy, give it a try and you’ll be amazed at what you can do.
Please find detailed below some additional resources which we hope you may useful during this difficult period.
Dip in, have a look and, if you think this may be for you, delve in deeper and see what you think. Most of all, enjoy the experience.
Please note these are not compulsory activities but ‘optional extras‘ for you and your child to explore.

Hopefully this will allow you to access it.
