Winter Welly Walks in the Wilderness Woods

We had a lovely walk in the woods on Wednesday and the weather was dry and sunny for our cone and stick hunt. We are planning to use the cones to make bird feeders for the wild birds outside. The children were also able to listen for bird song. The afternoon children  collected lots of sticks and decided to make a house for The Stick Man, we also revisited the story.

The morning children also had an extra adventure and learned how to cross a very muddy path without falling and getting stuck. We had to think about lots of things.

Thanks to Eden’s mum and Miss Watt who helped on the afternoon walk.

Finally, thanks to everyone who came to the little social event in the Nursery, I think we all enjoyed a chance to have a game of bingo  and share in the fun. A special thanks to Mrs Shaw who was a wonderful bingo caller.
