P1 Forest School

For our final week of Forest school we went on a Easter Hunt in the forest. There were lots of Easter eggs hidden around the Forest! Inside the easter eggs there were Wild flower seeds which we then planted. We hope to watch our wildflower garden grow over the next few months.

We listened to the birds singing and made our own #promisesfortheplanet following all of our learning over the past few weeks about how we can look after our world.

” My promise is to reduce the amount of plastic packaging that I buy” Miss Hutton

” I will tell people to not cut down trees as they help us breath” Naomi

” I will plant trees” Cameron

” I want to protect the animals” Hamish

Sport Relief 2018

Many thanks to everyone that helped support our Sport Relief fundraising challenge!

We set the challenge of running 500 miles as a school and we absolutely smashed this target totalling 716 miles! A huge thank you to staff and pupils for this as we encountered a flooded running track and no doubt some dizziness from running around the gym and assembly halls countless times!

We also raised over £600 for the Sport Relief cause and we are grateful to all who supported us with this. (We still have official bands available on request for £1- see Mr Gall for details).

Many thanks,

The Kids Count Crew (citizens making a difference).

World Book Day 🌎 📖

On Thursday 1st March 2018 we will be celebrating World Book Day in School by encouraging all children to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character!

We will also spend this week completing different book related activities in class and holding whole school DEAR times! We’ve also asked the pupils to find and be photographed in  the strangest place to read a book!

Thank you for all your support!
