Sport Relief 2018

Many thanks to everyone that helped support our Sport Relief fundraising challenge!

We set the challenge of running 500 miles as a school and we absolutely smashed this target totalling 716 miles! A huge thank you to staff and pupils for this as we encountered a flooded running track and no doubt some dizziness from running around the gym and assembly halls countless times!

We also raised over £600 for the Sport Relief cause and we are grateful to all who supported us with this. (We still have official bands available on request for £1- see Mr Gall for details).

Many thanks,

The Kids Count Crew (citizens making a difference).

Children in Need official total!

The ‘kids count’ citizenship group are delighted to announce that we raised a total of £755 for Children in Need!

We would like to thank …..

all parents and carers for supporting this cause with donations/buying merchandise, all the pupils at Dunblane for wholeheartedly taking part in all the events, all staff for attending and lighting up our glow in the dark disco, Chrissie and Margaret for donating fruity Friday funds, Mrs Grant for her beautiful display table, and Mrs Stone for recounting all the money.

A great team effort for a great cause! Next stop, Sport relief….watch this space….

Belated update on comic relief fundraising…

The Kids Count Citizenship group are proud to announce that with all of your help we managed to raise £801!

The group organised a sing a long in the hall, non-uniform day and sold the official red noses around the school.

Thank you for all of your donations and your continuing support of all events at DPS!

(special thanks again to Mrs. Stone and Mrs. Grant who painstakingly always check the counting of the money)

Children In Need Total!

The Kids Count citizenship group would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that both participated in and supported our children in need fundraising effort this year.

We are delighted to announce that we raised a total of £777!

Well done team!

(special thanks go to Mrs. Grant and Mrs. Stone who re-counted all of the money and Mrs. Taylor who helped run the events).

We are incredibly lucky to have such a generous learning community and the children have benefitted in exploring how that money makes a difference to many causes around the UK.

Shoebox Appeal

The ‘Kids Count’ citizenship (with a little help from P7G) have been very busy with our charity efforts.

We have managed, with your help, to fill and send 90 shoeboxes of toys and household items to families in Eastern Europe to open on Xmas day.

Thanks to all at the Dunblane Rotary Club for helping us organise this, it has been an extremely worthwhile and educational experience for our young learners. Thank you to all who contributed donations as well, it really will make a difference!

Next up….Children in Need : Fri 18th November!!!
