Reading Buddies
The P5 and 6 children had another successful session today reading the final book to the P2’s. Today’s book was called Eric makes a Splash.
Here are some of the things the Primary 2’s said today –
“I liked the extra noises (expression) that the reading buddies added when they were reading. They made it exciting”. Annie
“I liked how confident the reading buddies were when they read to us.” Ruby
“I laughed at the stories the reading buddies made them funny.” Jack M
“The reading buddies were good at telling the story and acting out the parts.” Elliot.
“The reading buddies were good at reading the books, they were very confident. “Chloe T
“The reading buddies are good readers, they looked like they enjoyed the story too.” Cameron
This is what the Primary 5’s and 6’s said bout being reading buddies
“I liked how all the P2’s listened.” Sophie
“I liked it because the p2’s showed us that they were enjoying the stories.” Kevin
“The P2’s were really interested in the stories” Anna
Reading Buddies
Primary 5 and 6 children are enjoying being reading buddies. So far they have read 2 books to their Primary 2 buddies. On Tuesday they read One Button Benny and today they read I am Bat. Here are some things the Primary 5 and 6 children said about reading I am Bat to Primary 2’s-
-“I liked it that the Primary 2’s were interested and could choose their own fruit and animal as a follow up task.” Anna
-“I liked how my reading buddies were so amused by my reading and they could tell me about what happened at the end.” Sophie H
-“I liked it how you could use expression and how the younger children laughed.” David
-“The Primary 2’s said really positive things about our reading, that was really good.” Hannah
-“I liked how the P2’s actually really liked the book and that they were laughing and wanted to hear it again.” Kevin

Primary 1 and 2 Nativity – Lights, Camel, Action
Nativity – Lights, Camel, Action.
With the October break behind us it is that time of year to start making plans for this year’s nativity play. This year’s Nativity is on the 12th and 13th of December at 2PM.
Here are the 6 songs the classes will be learning as part of their homework –
Curriculum Afternoon For primary 1

P1 make Potato Salad
Primary 1 made potato salad in the learning lab.
To make the potato salad we used
-Potatoes
-Chives
-Parsley
-Mint
-Salad Cream
-Vinegar
Angel Express
The Primary 1 and 2 Nativity this year was called Angel Express. The children enjoyed learning the songs and learning their parts.
When asked what the children liked about being in the nativity this is what some of them said –
-I liked having a speaking part, I learnt how to be an actor.
-I liked being on the big stage and having an audience.
-I learnt about the story of baby Jesus.
