*Play the video and listen to the story and the music.
* Go back to the beginning of the video and this time close your eyes as you listen to the music and imagine you are in the balloon with Melody.
*Did you enjoy the music?
*How did it make you feel?
TASK 2
*Draw a picture of a hot air balloon. Remember, they are usually brightly coloured and some have pretty patterns on them. Remember to post your drawings as I would like to see them.

MUSIC ( J.S.Bach week)
‘AIR BALLOON’
What you need : computer or I Player, pen or pencil, paper

The music you are going to hear was written over three hundred years ago by a famous German composer called J.S.Bach. It is called ‘Air on the G String’ 2nd movement ARIA. An AIR is another name for an ARIA which is a piece of music for a solo singer with musical accompaniment. BUT THERE IS NO SINGER. Bach uses the violins in the orchestra as the singer.
*On your computer find CBeebies ‘MELODY’ Episode 22 ‘BALLOON RIDE’ and watch the episode.
*Now answer the quiz questions.
- What kind of music did Melody want?
- What did Melody’s mum say the music made her think of?
- Melody used her imagination, what did she imagine as she listened to the music?
- Where did Melody go to in the balloon?
- What did Melody feel in her face and smell as she flew over the sea?
- Which word did Melody use to describe the other flying machines?
- Can you think of three WOW WORDS to describe how the music made you feel?
Watch the clip again and mark your quiz. All the answers are in the video clip. HAPPY LISTENING!
