Micro-Tyco

Micro-Tyco taught me that think about your team not just you or your family. You should let everybody share their ideas. You can’t just be quiet because you might have a good idea and you’re scared someone might say it’s stupid. It   might be a good idea and people might like it. Micro-Tyco also taught me to never give up and give everybody a say in things and write down everybody’s ideas, not just ones that you think is best because you never know their idea might raise loads of money.

You have to remember to never give up and if at first you don’t succeed try again, try again, try again. Don’t worry if you lose its not wining that counts its taking part and having fun.  If we don’t win I don’t care because I had lots of fun and that is what really matters.  I would love to do Micro-Tyco again. I think it was really hard  to just start with one pound but it  got easier when we got more and more  money. I hope that we have raised loads of money, £250 or more. I learned that when being a team leader  its not just about bossing people around its helping them and giving  your team some respect. I also learned about talking to people not just your team but your customers too. I learned that   when you are making a rota for your team don’t just put friends  put someone who is confident with money and change and someone who isn’t so sure put don’t just say it’s too hard and give up try it and you  might learn how and who knows  you might be good  at it .I have learned  that you  have to plan forward and get the word out and remember to put out your advertisement on time or then no one will come to your event. I learned that sometimes you have to send out letters to people or ask them to do stuff for you. It depends on what you what them to do because sometimes you need them to donate things. Always be prepared for anything because you don’t know what’s going to happen so always have another plan in case your first plan backfires. I learned about global citizenship. It’s good to support people around the world. Instead of giving someone £100 to buy stuff for them and their family it is better to give that £100 for them to start their own business and earn the money themselves. The money that Super Sellers have raised at the moment is £197.97

Shetland Museum

Shetland Museum

We learned about Vikings. The Vikings were fascinating. We learned that Vikings used soapstone. They used it for lamps. The Vikings burned fish oil or seal blubber. Some of the Vikings were farmers.  Vikings had animals. They had pigs, sheep and coos. They used them for cooking after they cooked them they ate them. They used the fur and the skins for clothes, cloaks, leggings and shoes. When one of the Vikings died the ones that were alive  buried them with their treasure. My favourite bit was how the Vikings dyed the colour of the wool.

Shetland Museum by Honor

We went to the museum in Lerwick to learn about Vikings. First we learned about what crops they grow. They grow barley and flour seeds and they were good farmers. Vikings kept animals like cows, pigs and sheep they kept them for meat when they went old.  When they killed animals they made clothes with their fur to make cloaks, shoes and leggings. They were also good fishermen and mostly caught cod. If the invaders did not catch fish they stole other people’s food.

There was a bit of chocolate cake left on the plate. The cake got eaten by someone into the shape of a head. The crumbs turned into eyes and a mouth. The cake stared at me, he walked over to me. It talked to me it said you can walk with me if you want. I said yes and I was very happy. We were best friends. We went to the kitchen. The cake said can we have coloured lollipops? The boy said no we don’t have any left. We have to wait until Mum gets back. We were happy.

Look there’s a lot of crumbs on the plate. Who was it? said mum. Was it you Melissa? It wasn’t me. Ok said mum. Leah did you ate the chocolate? I asked. The next night I walked down stairs then I said dad why are you eating the chocolate? The next morning mum said who ate the chocolate again? I know who ate the chocolate it’s dad, laughed Melissa.

A little piece of chocolate  was on a plate. It could be eaten by a mouse, a dog, a cat or your mum. Your dad could eat it, you could have a little sister she could eat it.  You could have a big brother that could eat it,  you could have  your friend  over he or she could eat it,  you could have a big sister that could eat it,  you could have a little brother that could eat. Actually it wasn’t any of those it was the person  that had had it in the first place ha very funny!

Phoebe’s 100wc number 9

Hi my name is Katie.  I love chocolate it is so amazing. When I eat it sometimes I eat it all and sometimes I don’t. Today I went out shopping and I left some of the chocolate on the table for when I came back. When I came home I saw that half of what I had left was gone. I have a pet that sometimes eats chocolate so my cheeky dog ate it. By the way my dog is called Chocy it is a funny name don’t you think. I think chocolate is so good so does my dog.

Honor’s 100 word challenge number 9

A little piece of chocolate cake sits on a plate while the children sleep and the adults watch television. There is a dog called Monzie he did not see it. It becomes morning time. They all wake up and have breakfast, after breakfast they go to Tesco and get lunch. When they go home the chocolate cake is not there. Duh duh duh! They were so surprised. They had their lunch. They thought maybe a robber had snuck in. That was the last time they went out with the door unlocked. We spy chocolate foot prints, oh it’s our dads.

Hello I am:

Name: Rebecca

Middle name: Becky

Surname: Adlington.

I love swimming. I won gold in London Olympics 2012. I love chocolate. I eat it every weekend. But when I went to my full bar of chocolate then there were only a quarter left. I thought that there was a rat in the house. I found the rat that took it and it was really fat a big. I am glad I found the thief of my prized possession. So I went to the shop to get more. When I got back from the shop I ate the chocolate.

Charlotte -How the Vikings thought the world began

The Vikings thought that there were an empty space that had ice at the north and fire at the south. When the ice started to move around it started to melt and then it made a frost giant and a giant cow. When the frost giant went to sleep and started to sweat it made lots of giants and giantesses. When the giant cow was licking the ice he found this man called Buri, who had a son called Bor. Bor also had three sons called Odin, Vile and Ve. Odin, Vile and Ve became gods. That’s how the Vikings thought the world evolved.

How the World Started According to the Vikings

The Vikings believed that the world developed as an empty space. It had ice in the north of the space and fire in the south. Then when the ice melted it ran and it went quite far. It turned into a puddle. Then there formed a frost giant and a giant cow. When the frost giant started to sweat because he was hot there formed little giants and giantesses. The giant cow found a human in the ice and he ended up to be Buri. Then he had a boy called Bor. After that Bor had three children called, Odin, Vile and Ve.  They all became the first three gods.
