P2/3 Daily Tasks Wednesday 10.06.20

School Prayer

L.I: we are learning to explore how the Holy Spirit helps us in our lives.

Think about times when it is easy to say yes, e.g. when you are offered sweets, when you are asked to a party. Think about times when it is difficult to say yes, e.g. when we have to go to bed, when you need to tidy your room. We often need to make choices and sometimes we do not know what to do and have to think about it very carefully.  The Holy Spirit can help us to make good choices every day and live like Jesus.

Task:

  • Look at the statements below and decide if it is a good choice

or  a bad choice

  • Good choices/Bad Choices Game

  5. Say thank you when someone gives you something.
  6. Don’t go to bed when you are asked.

Anime is hand-drawn and computer animation originating from Japan. The term anime comes from the English word animation, and in Japan is used to refer to all forms of animated media.

Take a look at some anime characters and use them as inspiration to create your own anime character. Use the search engine kiddle when searching.

Here is a tutorial that will help you create a basic character that you can change to make it your own.

Health and Wellbeing – Coping Toolbox

While we are not at school it is still important to focus on our health and wellbeing and talk about our emotions. For this activity I would like you and an adult to do this activity together. You are going to create your own separate toolboxes which will contain different things. It will be items that remind you of happy memories or things that make you feel better. It could be notes to remind yourself to take 10 deep breaths, a cuddly toy, photo, DVD/game, a note of your favourite song that you can play. Once you have collected your items, I would like you to talk about each one and why you have chosen it.

All you need is any form of container that you can decorate if you want to. Every time you start to feel sad, angry or worried you can look at the things that bring you joy in your Coping Toolbox.

P6 Home Learning 9/6/20

Good morning P6, it looks like another lovely day. Well done for all the work you completed yesterday. Remember if you can’t get some of the tasks done, don’t worry, just complete what you can manage and the cooking and art tasks can be done anytime, you may not have the ingredients!

As usual your tasks will be posted at 9am for you on Google Classroom, here is a schedule to follow;

Task 1Exercise with Joe Wicks

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAxW1XT0iEJo0TYlRfn6rYQ

Task 2Setting the scene for a story. Create a character in your head (I chose a Princess having just watched Maleficent on TV). Use the higher level vocabulary sheets to help create a setting, feelings and a character. One line for each section would be enough, I’ve included my model in the task on classroom.

Task 3 – Health and Wellbeing – Our Joyful June calendar suggests we find the joy in listening to music and find our favourite pieces.

Task 4 – Go Noodle
