Change to how you will view our Newsletters

Newsletters are issued each month in an effort to provide general information and keep you informed of school life.

As we have successfully communicated with parents during the period of school closure via our Website and Social Media Channels, we are no longer printing our newsletters and sending them home in your child’s bag. Should you wish to receive this via email, please complete this short survey using this link:

Or by scanning this QR code:

If you are unable to access the newsletter in this way please contact the school office and we will arrange for one to be put into your child’s bag.

Back to School Information

We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school next week.

Please find attached a letter regarding the arrangements. If anything changes between now and Wednesday this post will be updated.

Parent Letter for August 2020 return to school

For those who are concerned about the return Jason Leitch has produced the following video.

If you need to get in touch the school office will reopen on Monday 10th August from  11am  onwards. Staff will be involved in in-service training first thing.

Note from Mrs McDonald

At the moment, the Scottish Government aim for all children to return to their school on a full-time basis. Should this be the case, we will look forward to seeing you all Monday-Friday each week if the coronavirus continues to be suppressed. If there is a change to government guidance and we have to revert to our contingency plan we will be inviting your child to return to St.Fergus’ Primary School on the days allocated to your child.

I have created a guidance booklet to help parents understand how things may change.

St. Fergus’ August 2020 Guidance for Parents

I know that when August comes, whatever that will look like, we will be ready again to work together and support each other to ensure our children are given the best start to the school year. The final details are still unclear but please keep checking the blog, Facebook and Twitter pages for any updates.

Finally I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their support and kindness throughout this year. This has not been the year any of us could have imagined when we all stepped through the doors in August 2019. However, even a global pandemic has not stopped us from continuing to work together as a strong school community.

For now take time to relax and spend time with your family and friends, fingers crossed that we continue to have the good weather throughout the summer!

Take care.
