Homework w/b 13.5.19

Sounds

‘aw’ (saw, claw, lawn etc). Please read aloud the ‘aw’ words EVERY night from the booklet containing the sounds we have been learning this term. Your child has this in their reading folder.

Spelling

by, time, house.

Write a sentence using each word. Remember to use capitals and full stops and perhaps a joining words too. Make sure your writing is neat as well.

Common Words

body, call, carry, changes.

Handwriting – bB, hH, kK.

Practise small and capitals, completing at least one row of each letter in your jotter. Please ensure the letters start at the correct position, are formed correctly and are the correct size in relation to the lines in the jotter.

Maths

We have been focusing on subtraction sums. Make up some take away sums starting with numbersĀ  no bigger than 10, for example 8 – 3 = ?, 10 – 4 = ? etc. Then move on to numbers between 10 and 20, for example 13 – 6 = ?, 17 – 10 = ? etc.
