Today we got to enjoy our Cool Class Cup treat of a movie, popcorn and juice. We also made some Easter craft work.

We learned more about the story of the first Easter and sequenced the pictures in the right order.  A reminder also that parent night phone calls will take place tomorrow and Wednesday of this week.

Well done to last week’s Star Pupil for improving greatly with her double and near double adding sums.

We have been learning some French words today. We know our colours and how to say hello and goodbye. Some of us got to play some French games on the I-pad too.

We worked hard on our reading and sound tasks today as well as finding out more about the life cycle of the butterfly. We painted beautiful butterflies too.

We all had a great time celebrating Red Nose Day today. We learned about some of the ways the money donated to  Red Nose Say helps those who are disadvantaged. We heard the story of Nathan who benefited from the charity and did a quiz, designed a Superhero, and decorated Red Nose biscuits to enjoy eating together. We also got to enjoy the lovely outdoor Spring weather.

We enjoyed some outdoor play today in the Spring sunshine and finished our Spring blossom pictures too.  Remember tomorrow is Red Nose Day and the children can come to school wearing something red if they have it (but no football tops) and sporting some crazy hairstyles. This is of course optional.

We worked hard today learning to bridge numbers across 10 to help us to add larger numbers more quickly. We also revised all the names of the 3-D shapes.

We worked hard on our reading, sound and number work today and enjoyed a ‘brain break’ to get ready to learn in the afternoon.

For World Book Book we did different activities linked to Dr. Seuess’  The Cat n the Hat. We read the story, found rhyming words from the story, labelled parts of the cat, measured the size of some pictures from the story and we watched the cartoon of the story too.  We all enjoyed a fun day.
