27.6.17

Well done to a proud girl for winning 2 medals for her dancing skills.

May I also take this opportunity to thank all the parents and carers for their continued support throughout the year. It has been a pleasure to teach all your children and I wish them all luck when they go into Primary 3.

Have a very happy holiday and I will see you all again in August.

School Show

A reminder that the school show ‘Rootin’ Tootin’ Rodeo’ will be this Tuesday and Wednesday evening (20th and 21st June).  It is important we have as many children to perform on BOTH evenings so I would appreciate it if you could arrange to bring your child to school BOTH evenings at 6.30pm, ready for a 7pm start.  They should come to the classroom where they will get changed into their costume and wait until it is time to perform.

If you are not watching the show that evening, you may collect your child around 8.20pm approximately at the classroom door.  For organisation purposes, the children will be in Mrs. Mahr’s class (Room 8) where they can be collected there.  Parents watching the show will come to Room 8 at the end of the performance.

I trust you will support your child and the school in this way and hope you enjoy the show!

16.6.17

Today we went out to the nature garden to release our butterflies into the wild.

REMINDER

Could anyone who has not yet sent in their costume in for the school show please bring it in for Monday 19th June (see ‘School Show’ blog for details of what to bring).  Thank you.

13.6.17

Yesterday Miss Travers helped us to put the caterpillar cocoons into their net so that when they come out they will not fly away.  We will look after them for a few days and then let them go.  Watch this space for the day of the big release!

School Show

A reminder that the following items for the school show should be brought to school by Friday 16th June for the dress rehearsal, or earlier if possible.

This year’s show is ‘Rootin’ Tootin’ Rodeo’ on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st June.

The children can wear any of the following items, as our theme will be country and western. You do not need to buy anything special, just bring in what you can (perhaps borrow things from friends or family)?

Boys

Blue jeans or dark trousers.

Check shirt or plain T-shirt.

Optional

Cowboy hat, denim jacket, waistcoat, neck scarf etc.

Girls

Blue jeans or denim skirt/shorts or leggings.

Check shirt or plain T-shirt.

Optional

All items should be labelled with your child’s name and put in a poly bag, again with their name on it. Please bring in by Friday 16th June or earlier, as we will have our dress rehearsal that day.

Thank You.
