Read, Write and Count Bags

Your child has been issued with a ‘Read, Write and Count’ bag. For homework this week they should spend time with an adult reading  and talking about the book as well as playing the numeracy games. In addition they should do the following  homework –

Sounds

This week’s sound is ‘wh’ (when, whisk etc). Practise reading the ‘wh’ words stuck at the back of your homework jotter. Can you find any of these words in a reading or story book?

Challenge – how many more ‘wh’ words can you make? Write them in your jotter.

Common Words

Practise reading all the common words from your word list and word wall highlighted in blue.

Spelling

This week’s words are;

down, look, too.

Write each word three times in waterfall writing.
