Assembly

We welcomed our parents to our whole school assembly. Primary 7 did a fantastic job of running it. Each class shared their learning about the books they have been reading as part of Scottish Book Week.

Update

The photographs above illustrates the tremendous talent that is contained within St Bart’s. What a great achievement girls!

A quick reminder to parents and carers that North Lanarkshire Council is a digital authority and as such, our Mrs Dunn has recently sent reminders re the parent portal. This system allows for school trips and lunches to be paid, in addition to recording absence and many other features. Thank you in advance for using these new and efficient services to make life a bit easier and more convenient for you.

Upcoming Christmas events

Our Christmas activities have been going very well and children thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas lunch.
As you know our movie duvet day has been changed from the last day of term to Friday 17th December. Children are permitted to bring in some snacks to eat during the films, although not to share with others. They can also wear comfortable clothing , with the exception of Primary 4 to 7 as they will be taking part in filming for their Christmas Concert. This will be posted on Glow for parents to access, next week.

Primary 1 to 3 have just finished filming for their nativity play and they. Sound and look fantastic. You are certainly in for a treat. Details of when the recording will be posted on Glow will be with you shortly.

Christmas parties start tomorrow and the school have provided snacks, drinks and prizes. Children are permitted to dress up for their parties.

The Christmas raffles will be drawn on Friday 17th December and you will be contacted via telephone should you win a hamper in order to arrange pick up. Fingers crossed!
Although these are very challenging times for schools, our pupils have never missed out and we have adapted traditional school events to the current climate. A huge thank you to all of our school staff, who have made many sacrifices so that our pupils can be provided with very good quality, consistent education .

On behalf of all of our staff at St Bart’s, I would like to wish you all a happy and Holy Christmas and hope that ‘Santa is good to you’.

Kindest regards,

Deirdre Bolland,

Head Teacher

October 2021

Huge congratulations to our wonderful Primary 5 girls who enjoyed success in the freestyle dance category. All of your friends at St Bart’s are so proud of you. What a wonderful achievement.

Parents and carers please be reminded that Parents  evening appointments will continue the same format as last year. Mrs Dunn has been in touch and allocated times so that you are able to receive a phone call from your child’s class teacher. We look forward to sharing your child’s progress with you on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
As always, a big thank you to our parents who continue to wear masks and social distance at our school gates. This is for the benefit of our whole school community and your support is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
