Industrial Action – Wed 7th Decemeber

As you may be aware, two of the teacher unions, the Scottish Secondary Teachers’ Association (SSTA) and the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT), intend to carry out industrial action over the national pay offer and their members plan to strike on Wednesday 7 December 2022.

Due to capacity and resourcing issues, the school will be closed to all pupils in Year groups S1, S2 and S3 on Wednesday 7 December 2022.

S4 pupils who have a prelim on that day will be able to come to school and sit their prelim. More details on arrangements for this will follow on Monday. All other S4 pupils should remain at home and prepare for their prelims.

Pupils in S5 and S6 will be able to attend their timetabled classes where possible and will otherwise be accommodated within supervised classrooms where they will all have access to school computers.

School transport will operate, and lunches will be provided for those pupils who are in school as normal.  As you will understand, this is a situation that may be subject to change and the school will inform parents at the first opportunity if there are further changes to the school day.
