Good morning everyone, I hope you’re all well today. Our story today is We’re going on a bear hunt
If we were going on a bear hunt what would we need? Binoculars? A map? What would we find when we got there? A cave? A big Bear?
Here are some ideas to get you started …
With some toilet roll holders and string you can make some binoculars. With paper, pens and collage you can make your map.
If you would like to make a cave for your bear to sleep in you could use a brown bag or maybe a big cover and you could get in too.
I wonder if you can remember all the things the family had to walk through to get to the bear cave? Can you gather lots of containers, one with grass, one with water, one with cotton wool for the snow and one with mud?
If you use all the containers maybe you can retell the story to your family? Don’t forget to take your map and binoculars.
Some fun facts about bears in winter
Our rhyme today is A Little Brown Bear
A little brown bear
(Make claws with your hands and walk them forward)
Went in search of some honey
(Cup hands above your eyes)
Isn’t it funny
A bear wanting honey?
(Tilt head to one side and tap head)
He sniffed at the breeze
(Sniff the air)
And he listened for bees
(Cup hand behind ear)
And would you believe it
He even climbed trees
(Make climbing movements)
