Good morning, how are you today? I hope you and your family are well. We will start today with a story called The Polar Bear Paddle.

How about a polar bear race game that you can play with your family?
You will need some paper, pens and a dice
Draw lots of circles on your paper, make yourself and all other players a little polar bear face. Throw the dice and whatever number is on the dice that’s how many circles you should move; the first to reach the end is the winner.

Some fun facts about polar bears…

Let’s try painting with frozen coloured ice cubes
You will need an ice cube tray, sticks or twigs from the garden, water and paint or food colouring.
Firstly add some paint or food colouring to each section of the ice cube tray. Then fill your ice cube tray with water and place a stick or twig in each section. You will then need to place this in the freezer overnight. In the morning you are all set to pop out your ice paints and get creative.
Have fun!

Our rhyme for today is Little Polar Bear
Little polar bear
White as snow
Sat on the ice
Near the cold waters flow
I am hungry, he said
And made a wish
Then stuck in his paw
And pulled out a fish

I think Alfie was very kind and helpful to his brothers today wasn’t he? He was happy to help them learn to dive and do the Polar bear paddle. I hope you are all being kind and helpful to your brothers, sisters, mum and dad. What could you do to be helpful? Could you make your own bed? Could you wash or dry the dishes? I look forward to hearing all the ways you have been helpful in your learning journals.
