JUNIOR ROAD SAFETY OFFICER

Welcome to our blog!  The JRSO scheme is a fantastic opportunity for children in our school to learn all about Road Safety and keeping themselves and others safe. In our school we have 2 JRSO pupils who help Mrs Doherty take forward JRSO initiatives.

  • Michael J – Primary 7
  • Samantha McK – Primary 6

WOW Badge – This year we will once again be taking part in WOW which encourages children to walk to school as often as they can in order to reduce carbon footprint. Children record their journey to school online and at the end of each month they will hopefully receive a  themed badge.  Children who cannot travel to school other than by bus also have a chance of obtaining a badge if the do an active walk, run etc within school each day.

NEWS

North Lanarkshire are running their yearly road safety calendar competition which we always take part in and are usually very lucky in receiving some lovely awards and prizes.  We will be sending away entries week beginning 30th September. JRSO ambassadors will collect these next week.

Good Luck!
