Hi everyone! This term is just flying away and we are really getting ready for Primary 2!

In Literacy we have covered all our phonemes and our spelling programme is coming to an end soon. We have been learning all about nouns and will soon be learning how to make plurals by adding ‘s’. We are working hard on comprehension activities from our reading books and are looking at trickier questions where we sometimes need to read ‘between the lines’.

In Maths we have finished our block on money and have now moved onto exploring sharing and grouping through our play activities. Here we are having fun today.

We have also been exploring measure and have been using non standard units to measure things around our class and in the playground.

We are enjoying learning about life on an island through the Katie Morag stories. We have been comparing island life to mainland life and have been making maps of Struay.

We are busy rehearsing for our ‘Litter Muncher’ show which we will perform at the new Primary 1’s induction day on the 11th June. Everyone has a job to do and our rehearsals are going well.

Sports day was fantastic. The rain didn’t spoil our day! We had potted sports in the hall then some fitness activities in the class. Here are a few photos of us having fun while keeping fit!

Check back soon for more news. Bye for now!
