STEM week

Hi Everyone,

This week has been a very busy but enjoyable week, as we have been doing different activities related to STEM- science, technology, engineering and maths.

On Monday we had a brilliant workshop led by the Science Centre called Go Oxygen. We learned lots of interesting facts.

On Wednesday, we all got the opportunity to plant a sunflower seed, which is linked to our topic called Living Things. We are all going to take care of our little seed and are very excited to see it grow into a beautiful sunflower. We will plant it in our garden and watch it grow!

On Friday Connor’s mum, Mrs Jackson came to tell us all about her very interesting job. She is a Scientist and she studied Geology. She brought in some interesting rocks and fossils for us to have a look at, she even helped us to understand a little about geological time scale. We are all aware now how important it is to look after our planet, she has inspired some of us to be Scientists when we are older.
