All STEM Ahead…

What a great STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) week we have had. We began our week building lots of different structures using K-Nex. We used our engineering skills to build some replica play parks.

We saw a fantastic show put on by the Science Show, they taught us how our hearts work when we exercise and the impact on our muscles. It was. Sry interactive and lots of fun.

On Wednesday we had an Aerospace engineer come into our class to tell us all about his job building aircrafts. He even brought in some pieces for us to see. This visit was extra special because he also happens to be the Dad of one of the girls in our class.

We have been working in our jumping skills in gym in preparation for Sports Day, we have really enjoyed completing different stations associated with jumping.

We had a great time yersterday working on some Maths Challenge boxes yesterday. We worked in groups and had to read the instructions and build things from a range of materials.

We have really enjoyed the great weather we have had this week. We decided to do our Maths outside yesterday so we could enjoy the sunshine.
