Holy Cross Primary

This Week!

This week we were learning about synonyms. We enjoyed competing with our partner to see who could think of the most words which had the same meaning as another. We also made instructions on how to create salt dough Christmas ornaments. We used as many bossy verbs as we could and made sure to read over each step to see that it was easy to follow. Next week we will begin to look at a new genre of writing. In maths we are continuing to look at the properties of 2D and 3D shape. We also used column addition sums and Primary 4 have been multiplying numbers by 10 and 100.

We were investigating Deforestation and we were all very sad and shocked by this issue. We would hate to have a world without rainforests for many different reasons. Ask us and we will tell you!

Our highlight of the week was meeting Father Bernard and Brother Angelo. We all agreed that the Franciscan Friars were two very special men sent to us by God. We thought that the were full of joy and peace and we loved to listen to them. They taught us an awesome song that we will always remember.

Today we celebrate Children in Need Day. We hope you like looking at our pictures!

Have a great weekend,

P.4/3 and Miss McDonald
