Fireworks and hedgehogs!

We had an exciting week at school! Primary 5 came and helped us to make salt dough so that we could make hedgehogs. It was great fun and not too messy! Primary 5 even did the clearing up. They can come back anytime! We made our hedgehogs on Tuesday and painted them on Thursday. We just have to give them eyes then we can show them off. We also enjoyed making firework pictures using chalk on black paper.

In Literacy we were exploring the letter ‘g’ and practising other sounds along with our common words. Here are some of our activities.

In Maths we were exploring what happens when we combine quantities. We discovered that we get more. We can add them and count how many we have altogether.

We also finished off our work on symmetry. We are now experts on spotting and making simple symmetrical patterns.

We are looking forward to spotty day next Friday for Children in Need. Pop back next week to see what we have been up to. Bye for now!
