Holy Cross Primary

This Week!

At maths time we have all been looking at the properties of 3D shapes. We tried to guess the different shapes by looking at the net of each shape. We also tried tessellating different 2 d shapes. Some shapes are better to work with than others!

At literacy time we continued to look at our novels and used a variety of strategies to help us understand text better. We wrote down detailed instructional steps to explain how to wrap a present. If you are looking for a hand to wrap Christmas presents we can certainly help! We also looked at confusing words: to, too and two. These were a bit a bit tricky to use at first but now we feel more confident using them in our everyday tasks.

Mr O’Donnell took our gym session this week and we loved it!  We completed different circuits and were challenged to take part in a variety of team races. We also used the parachute and this was our favourite part.

November is the month of the Holy Souls so we thought about the people we know who have died. We wrote their names on a cross and put the on our wall and will pray especially for them each day in November.

Have a great weekend!
