Cumbernauld Academy

We have been given 36 fully funded places for pupils to go to Outward Bound again this year. This will run from Monday 25^th to Friday 29^th March 2024 (this includes Good Friday that the school is closed as part of the school Easter holidays). In order for a pupil to show an interest in this, they will need to complete an online application form. This can be found by using the link below. Option Choices webinar for parents and carers of S2 and S3 pupils, Thursday 7 December 6.30pm 

Skills Development Scotland careers advisers are hosting a webinar for parents and carers of S2 and S3 pupils on 7 Dec at 6:30pm to discuss option choices and the support and resources available from Skills Development Scotland to support both young people and parents and carers at this time.

The Pupil Support Staff have been working with all learners in S4-6 to support study for the upcoming prelims. There are lots of useful tips in this PowerPoint.

Prelim Prep

Please find attached the Prelim Timetable for all S4-6 students.  The exams are scheduled from 30th November until 15th December. Some prelims will take place at the start of 2024.  An additional timetable is also attached.

Out with Prelim Timetable 17NOV 23

We are looking forward to welcoming the parents/carers of our S5/6 pupils along to Cumbernauld Academy on Wednesday 15^th  November 2023 from 4pm – 6:30pm. 

This is an opportunity to meet your child’s teachers in person with the opportunity to gain feedback on attainment and progress across the first few months of this session. It is hoped this information will allow you to support your child with their education as they progress further into S5/6. For efficiency we are organising bookings online.

Please find below some further points to note. 

• Only appointments that have been pre-booked can be taken. 
• Meetings are scheduled for a maximum of 5 minutes. 
• Meetings will have a minimum of 5 minutes between appointments to allow travel to next teacher 

A map will be provided online prior to the event to explain the location of each teacher. S5/6 Parents Evening

• Cumbernauld Campus: Wednesday, November 8th
• Motherwell Campus: Thursday, November 9th events
