Given the unusual times we currently live in we have produced a video walkthrough of the whole school as part of our Primary 7 Transition process.
Update 15/5/20
Hope you and your families are all keeping well and staying safe.
As a school we are trying hard to ensure we are engaging with our pupils. Their health and well being is of the utmost importance to us. Your child’s Principal Teacher of Pupil Support is trying to contact as many pupils as possible either through email or phone calls. We have also sent letters to every child. No one is sure when, or how, we will return to school but in the meantime please stay in touch. Even just send an email to the Pupil Support teacher to say all is well. Their email addresses are as follows:-
Atholl: llyttle@braidhurst.n-lanark.sch.uk
Lorne: jyoung@braidhurst.n-lanark.sch.uk
Morven: lauraneilson@braidhurst.n-lanark.sch.uk
Rannoch: mmchugh@braidhurst.n-lanark.sch.uk; amcintyre@braidhurst.n-lanark.sch.uk
By now your child will have received a copy of their new timetable. We made the decision to ‘move’ your child on to try and ensure they can start different work and to help keep the momentum of teaching and leaning going. Staff are working hard to ensure work is posted on glow teams to make sure your child has plenty to do. Please ensure your child is engaging with the tasks.
If there are any problems with regards accessing glow please fill out our form here and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively email your child’s pupil support teacher. If there are any issues with regards their classes then please contact Mrs Macdonald (amcdonald@braidhurst.n-lanark.sch.uk) There is also information on other supports available to you during this difficult period.
We are constantly looking at how we can support your child’s learning from home, for example, by providing any stationery or subject specific materials they may require. Please check emails/twitter and our website regularly for updates. We are hoping to trail some different ways!

Helping your child to feel ‘Nurtured’
Being nurtured means that we feel cared for and important, and that our environment provides us opportunities and room to grow and develop. While routine and structure are always helpful, flexibility, creativity and tolerance are even more important right now, given our current circumstances.
Lots more information can be found on the NLC website: advice for parents

Good morning Braidhurst and welcome to the first day of the new timetable. If you have not received your paper copy in the post yet… please be patient and keep an eye on your letterbox.
By now everyone should be able to log into GLOW, know how to check your email (outlook) and be using Teams. If you’re still having issues you can get some help by clicking here
We fully understand that working, learning & teaching virtually in an online environment has its challenges and that not everyone finds this easy. Please try your best to do what you can, to the best of your ability and to any deadlines set and reach out to your teacher if you need help.
Over the next few days your teachers will be posting tasks and other work for you to do online either via teams, by email, on the dept website or on twitter. Please check this on a regular basis.
We will keep the main school website, twitter account and school app up to date with any new information as and when it becomes available.
