Through the use of Pupil Equity Funding, we aim to ensure that all pupils, irrespective of background or any and all barriers to learning, get the best of what is offered at Braidhurst High School, both in the classroom and beyond.
Where possible, our Pupil Equity Fund allocation has been spent on extra staffing to support pupils. Mr Conboy (Tech) and Mr O’Neill (PE) are responsible for the school’s approach to Pupil Equity Funding. They work closely together to ensure that the principle of equity is applied to all aspects of school life. We also have Miss Galloway (Art), Mrs Anderson (Transition Teacher) and Mrs McHugh (Biology).
Pupil Equity Funding is already benefiting our pupils, enriching their school experience and ensuring that all pupils are given the support they need to realise their potential. Some of the initiatives and interventions the fund is being used for are detailed below:
