36 pupils recently visited the Playhouse in Edinburgh to watch a performance of the International smash hit musical comedy… Hairspray
Hairspray takes place during the swinging sixties in Baltimore, Maryland. Tracy Turnblad is a big girl with big hair and an even bigger dream: to dance her way onto national TV, and into the heart of teen idol Link Larkin. Tracy’s audition makes her a local star and soon she is using her new-found fame to fight for integration. But can she win equality and Link’s heart without denting her ‘do?
All the pupils had a fabulous evening out watching this professional musical production, many of whom are preparing for their roles in this years school show – Sunshine on Leith.

On Thursday 19th Nov 2015 pupils in P6 and P7 are invited to Braidhurst to ask questions about the transition from primary school to secondary school. There will be a panel of teachers and pupils from Braidhurst which will be chaired by Mrs Rooney (Head Teacher). The event starts at 7pm in the school assembly hall.

Braidhurst S5/6 leadership class are running a four week Badminton programme for Logans, Ladywell and Muir Street primary schools.
Starting on 17th November 2015 the programme will take place every Tue until 8th Dec 2015 from 3:45pm until 4:45pm in the sports barn.
All primary 6 and 7 pupils are invited to attend.
On Thursday 26th November 2015 the Braidhurst Parents Group (formerly the PTFA/Braidhurst Parent Council) are hosting their annual fashion sale in the school assembly hall from 7pm.
Popular high street labels will be available such as Topshop, Next and many more brands with up to 75% off normal prices.
Tickets for the event will soon be available from R Watson costing £5 per ticket. This includes entrance, cupcake and glass of fizz.
