Hi Guys and Gals,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and are ready to learn. This is where I will be uploading your activities for each week. Just choose the right week on the drop down to access the work.
Each week I will post a timetable. This is very similar to what we usually have in class. I would love it if you could do your best to follow it as best as you can. I appreciate some people struggle with ICT access so you can juggle the jobs around to complete what you can at a good time for you.
As well as work I will be hosting a series of check-ins, quizzes, lessons and PAThS kid sessions. For literacy and numeracy I will be expecting you to join the calls/meetings as much as you can. If the time doesn’t suit then please just email me and let me know. I will try to speak to each maths group and reading group at least once a week. Make sure you check what time your meeting is.
We will do a whole class check-in on a Monday (the same as we do in class). At some point throughout the week we will try to do PAThS Kid, a quiz and a writing lesson. These will all be whole class. Mrs McDougall will also be uploading work onto her music blog so we will timetale that in too.
Fantastic Mr Fox’s, you will also have a catch up and lesson with Ms Kelso every week to go through your Code Cracker booklet. You have been added to Mrs Rowan and Ms Kelso’s Teams page and will have lots of catch ups there as well. You will get an email telling you about these meetings.
I will be available 4 days a week from 9am to 2.45pm. Please email me or post on Teams if you are stuck with something and we can discuss it. If you post on Teams then a friend might even be able to help. One day a week I will be in school with the key worker children and therefore I will not be available for lessons or help. If you are stuck with something then please just email me and I will get back to you the following day.
On Teams, I will be setting everyone up with a folder where you can upload any work you have completed. I will email you all a link to this folder. This will allow me to give you feedback on what you have been doing. It also lets me see if you are keeping up and completing the work set. Remember I am available for you all anytime during school hours. I know many of your parents/carers will be working from home and home learning will be hard for them too. So let’s do our best to work together and keep focussed.
You have all been given 5 booklets and some jotters out at the end of last term. Those of you who weren’t in school had these hand delivered by me on Wednesday 23rd December. Some of the work I set will be using one of these booklets. This means you won’t need access to the internet all day every day. I will also share a few pages that you can complete in these booklets if you are looking for extra work to complete.
We are hoping that this lockdown won’t last long but you are all amazing children and I know you will rock home learning. Remember I am here whenever you need me. I can’t wait to see you all again soon but until then let’s rock this!
#P4/5rocks!
