The Parent Council represents parents form children of all stages within the school, from the Early Years Class through to Primary 7. The group supports the Head Teacher and Staff and focuses on encouraging parental involvement in the education of children and the life of the school. We meet in the school on agreed dates and times.
It would be a pleasure to welcome you and give you the opportunity to meet with other parents involved in the work of the school.
Parents and carers have a vital role in supporting their children’s learning. To help promote discussion and involvement of the wider parent forum, you may wish to visit www.parentzonescotland.gov.uk for more information.
The aims of the Parent Council are to:
- Encourage & support parents to be involved in children’s education
- Represent the views of all parents
- Support the School in its work with pupils and
- Encourage links between the school, parents, pupils and the wider community
Parents who encourage their children to learn & actively support that learning will significantly improve their child’s chances of success. Parents, carers & family members are by far the most important influences on children’s lives. Children do better when parents are actively involved in supporting & helping their child’s learning.
