Litter Strategy

We have recently held a meeting with Craig Hanning to discuss monitoring litter around our school area, and have decided to split it up into small sections and rate the quality of each one from A to D.

We are meeting with him again to do the initial survey, and also hopefully organise the quad to be cleaned.

Updates to follow

Food for Life

We are looking for pupils who have an interest in H.E. and eco issues to join our food for life group, an initiative set up by the soil association to combat food waste and promote a culture of loving food.  If you are a senior school pupil and are taking H.E. we would love to have you. If interested speak to Ms. Devlin in H.E.

Allotment

We have put our name down for an allotment in Elm’s park just across from the school in order to potentially grow fruit and veg for our school kitchens and bee friendly flowers. We have yet to hear back but we are hoping to be allowed access in the coming months.

Allotments

Robyn has enquired about allotments across from the school and we are waiting to be contacted back. Membership is free, but we are unsure whether there will be a cost for an actual allotment.

There has been a second collection of rag-bag and we are waiting to hear back on the money raised from this. Last time we raised a grand total of £28.40 and we are hoping to raise more this time.

Display

We now have a display cabinet in the foyer so there will be a meet-up to redecorate it.

Both our outdoor bins and our recycling bins have arrived so you will start seeing around the school soon. Our recycling bins will be put in the cafeteria for paper bags and other recyclable goods.

The next meeting will be on Thursday 9th April at Lunchtime.
