Pupil Voice

Pupil Voice at Ardgowan Primary is an integral part of what we do, every day.

All pupils have a voice and everyone is listened to. Pupils have opportunities to share their views and opinions every day with their class teachers, support staff and office staff, with Mrs Picken and Mr McGowan over lunch, with Mrs Jones, Mrs Cowan and Mrs Boyd at playtime, with Mr McCluskey during his lunchtime clubs or with Mr Essler in the playground. In other words, any time, any place!

In addition to day-to-day conversations, Mrs Jones has weekly ‘chats’ with groups and individuals – these can be found on Twitter, on our website and on display in the dinner hall. Our school website is also a platform for pupil voice and P6 will be regularly seeking views and opinions  from each class to be displayed on each class page.

Our pupils answering big questions like, “How does your school help you to feel you belong?”
