January 2020

We interviewed Jacob and Aron from P6. The artist they studied for the art exhibition was Alison Watt. They learned how to draw portraits realistically. For their Scottish focus they learned Scotland’s place in Europe and about the landscape. In math they have looked at square and cube numbers and factors and they both enjoyed it. Their class has two class novels. One is ‘The Boy at the Back of the Class’ by Onjali Q. Rauf and ‘All the Things That Could Go Wrong’ by Stewart Foster. In PE they’re learning cricket and coding for ICT.

November 2019

We interviewed Chloe and Pearl from P6. Chloe and Pearl are going to audition together for the school Talent Show. They are going to play the keyboard and sing. They are looking forward to the talent show! They have been doing comprehension and spelling in literacy. They both saw the fireworks and they did art in class about Bonfire Night! During OTTER (Our Time To Enjoy Reading) time Pearl is reading a book called “The Last Battle” and Chloe is reading “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck”. They are focusing on Europe for their class topic – they are loving their topic and the whole class have been making flags of the countries of Europe!

October 2019

We interviewed Finlay McK and Justin.

We asked Finlay and Justin about STEaM week and they both really enjoyed making tinfoil towers and the tangram art pictures. They enjoyed playing math themed games in Maths Week. We asked them what subject they enjoy the most in class and they both enjoy literacy most! We also asked them if they go any clubs during lunch time or after school – Justin said he wanted to be in athletics, but he unfortunately didn’t get in. If they could make a club, it would be maths. They like sharing their home learning with the class at the end of the week – they both liked the paper airplane contest. Finlay went to the Halloween disco dressed as Mr Bean and Justin was a monster at the disco!
