May 2019
Developing computational thinkers– programming micro:bits for the first time. Everyone loved tinkering with their algorithms and plenty of collaboration and perseverance was on show. A big step forward in our coding journey.
We launched our ‘Mile a Day Marathon’ on Tuesday 7th May. Well done to everyone for a great first mile!
Feb. 2019
We visited Scotland Street School to learn more about school life in Victorian times. We discovered that things were VERY different to school now. Ma’am was very strict!
March 2019
We interviewed Lucy K and Andrew. The class have been learning all about The Victorians. Everyone is really enjoying it, especially researching using the internet and books. On World Book Day they read their favourite books and made bookmarks. At maths time everyone has been learning about fractions and they have been doing lots of fun activities, including a Sumdog fractions challenge! P4 have been really lucky to have Callum from Greenock Wandereres Rugby Club teaching them new skills at PE. Most of the class like the new homework format and get a chance to share their learning with the class on a Friday before assembly.

Nov. 2018
We interviewed Josh W and Lucie J. They have been focusing on grammar in literacy. In maths they have been doing times tables and subtraction. They are also learning all about France and learning new French words and phrases. Their class novel is Flat Stanley – he likes to slide under doors and when he was a kite he got stuck up a tree! Their favourite thing to do in class is art.

Oct. 2018
We interviewed Kieran and Jude in P4. We have been revising adjectives, verbs and nouns and have enjoyed some KungFu punctuation activities! Our class has boys and girls from three different P3 classes and we have been enjoying meeting new friends. We have been playing lots of different games in PE and have been training to do a ‘mile-a-day’ run with Mrs Allen – we’re nearly there!
