It was Financial Education Week last week. The children took part it lots of different learning activities using money. They were recognising and skip counting coins; adding money to create different amounts; estimating costs and using magazines to total costs. We had lots of fun with our active learning.

JRSO Be Bright Be Seen
We have done an assembly about wearing bright jackets on dark nights. You should wear reflectors on your jackets so at night a car would see you. Our class ( P5a ) have made some posters of bright jackets. We picked four posters to put round the school. We enjoyed the assembly, it was also a bit scary.

Growth Mindset -P3a
We ended this weeks learning with a Health and Well-being lesson focused on Growth Mindset. The children learned about the differences between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset . We worked together to highlight the positive growth mindset statements. The children then created their own fixed mindset statements then used their learning to turn them into positive statements. The children especially loved getting to write their statements on the desks!
