P1b enjoyed some Halloween Strictly come dancing last week. We tried our best to copy each routine in time with the Halloween themed music.

We have had a wonderful first week back in P1b.
The children have all worked incredibly hard in all areas of their learning. Everybody loves our Room on the Broom topic and the children had a wonderful time exploring forces and story through a range of play experiences.
Primary 1 had an amazing experience with Wildside Nature when Donald came in to deliver a workshop. The children were learning about Halloween animals such as bats, owls and spiders.
They moved around like the animals and pretended to silently hunt their prey.
The highlight was learning about how bats use echo location to fly around in the dark and having an opportunity to be blindfolded and find each other.
Another great learning day in Primary 1b!

Primary 1b enjoying learning about the Enchanted Forest in the playroom. We are developing our creativity through exploring lots of fairytales.

This week in primary 1b we are learning to identify and write numbers from 0-10. We have enjoyed working on subitizing during each lesson to increase our confidence in numeracy.

Together in primary 1b we have created our very own Class Charter. We have recognised the importance of our rights and enjoyed working collaboratively to decide which ones are important for our class.
We used our rights to create our Lego themed class charter which we will all follow to keep our class a happy and safe place to learn.

We are learning all about changes in the playroom. The children enjoyed changing structures to make the safe, the butterfly life cycle, role play at the weather station and the 4 seasons.

Primary 1b were excited to meet some fascinating creatures when Zoolab came to visit yesterday. They enjoyed learning about their habitats and finding out lots of interesting facts about a Giant African Snail, Hissing Cockroaches, a Corn Snake and a Tree Frog.
