This week we have been exploring strategies for more complex division calculations, we have been learning about sustainability and conservation and thinking of ways that we can help in our school grounds and were able to use this for our writing planning. We have continued with our active stations linked to this in creative enquiry too. We have been working hard to look after our plants this week, and used them as inspiration for art where we created realistic
sunflowers using different media. On Glasgow day we listened to a Glaswegian poem called The coming o the wee Malkies , we had to work out the Glasgow dialect to work out what it all meant! We then wrote our own replies ‘revenge on the wee Malkies’ in the same style. We also made Jeely pieces and had a picnic outside with them, we then researched famous Glasgow landmarks and made a postcard about them. What a busy week!
