This week in P3a

In literacy this week we have all been reading non fiction books and been learning about the features of the book and how to use them to find information.  We have also began a class novel about a centipede called Harry.  This inspired our writing this week as we wrote information reports about centipedes.  In Maths we were comparing fractions to identify which were bigger or smaller.  Our Creative Play area now has a focus on castles as that is our new topic.  We had some great art work as well as some fab Lego castles.  We took advantage of the beautiful weather and practised our athletics skills outside.  Finally we finished the week celebrate the 850th year since Glasgow became a burgh.  We went on a virtual tour of Glasgow then made a persuasive poster to encourage others to visit Glasgow.  We then listened to the Glasgow song and the Jeely piece song before ending the week making jeely pieces which were very popular.
