Celebration of Scots Poetry

It is approaching the time of year for our much loved Scots Poetry Celebration, however for the second year due to current circumstances; we have decided to adapt the usual practice of a competition to become a ‘Celebration of Scots Poetry’. This celebration will allow pupils to contribute to a class collection of Scots Poetry.

Each year group will be allocated a list of poems via our school website; all pupils are encouraged to learn at least one poem. The pupils will then be invited to share the poem that they have learned with their class during the week beginning 31st of January. A representative from each class will be chosen and featured in our school wide celebration video which will be available to families. We will let you know as soon as possible when this is available to view.
