Financial education support from the BBC

Made of Money is a half hour programme aimed at helping young people take control of their finances. The programme is presented by Radio 1 Newsbeat journalist Adina Campbell and features hints and tips from Radio 1 and 1Xtra presenters, along with expert advice from Martin Lewis and Iona Bain. Focusing on the lifestyle choices that young people make around budgeting, shopping, saving and getting in to debt, Adina shows how, through some straightforward maths, these choices can affect their finances.  Although the programme is aimed at young people, the simple tips can be used by anyone who wants to take control of their money.

There will be a transmission on BBC2 Scotland on 24 January at 10 pm, along with a ‘webchat’. The audience will be able to find the link to the webchat at www.bbc.co.uk/scotland during and after the programme.
