World Book Day Fun
The whole school enjoyed celebrating World Book Day. There were lots of literacy activities planned during the day including a reading tombola, where children were given a ticket which linked to a book which they could read with their buddy. The house challenge was to create a book cover on each classroom door. The doors look wonderful!
It was lots of fun because we dressed up as our favourite book characters such as Elsa and Anna. Elyza P1
I think Rowan in P3 and Rowan in P1 looked amazing. Olivia P1

Pupils from Uplawmoor went to Rouken Glen park to compete in a cross country race. The runners were Toni, Jodi, Ashley, Mckenzie , Dylan, Adam, Christopher and me! We all did very well and finished the whole course. Our running club is now finished and it’s been great fun. Thanks to the parents who joined in with us on our final session. Great effort! Dodgeball Day
Well done to the pupils and staff of Uplawmoor who had a fantastic day playing dodgeball ALL DAY! Each class were split into teams who played against each other, then classes played against other classes and committees played against rival committees. The children all turned out in their sporty gear and had a great day being fit and active whilst raising money for the school (amount will be revealed in next couple of weeks). Thank you to all who sponsored a pupil and a huge thank you to Mrs Orr and her Pupil Council who organised the whole event.
Friday Dodgeball Event
The children can come to school dressed in their sporty gear tomorrow for our all day dodgeball event organised by the pupil council. Children must wear suitable clothes for sport so no jeans and no heeled shoes please. The children must be warm enough during playtime outdoors, so please remember to wear jogging bottoms if you plan to wear shorts during the day.
We look forward to playing against you all tomorrow!
