About Us

Uplawmoor Primary School is a non-denominational co-educational primary school situated in the rural area of Uplawmoor, in East Renfewshire. The catchment area consists mainly of private housing and the school sits in its own grounds located close to local community hall.

We currently have a school roll of 66 pupils, made up of 4 classes, some of which are composite. The school has a main hall / gymnasium, classrooms and a staff room.  Our annex building hosts our digital  learning suite and nurture space, which consists of family area and library.

Our children also benefit from large a playground and garden which provides plenty of opportunity for outdoor play and learning. We are fortunate enough to have use of the community MUGA also.

Strong partnerships with parents have been created and the school is well supported by a very active Parent Council.

We form part of the  Cluster with Eastwood High School being our associated High School.  The other cluster schools include; Isobel Mair School and Family Centre, Crookfur Primary, Mearns Primary and Neilston and Madras Learning Campus.

The school has a devolved budget from the local authority and a major part of this is utilised in support of the School Improvement Plan.
