Nursery and P1-P6 School Trip
Our trip to Dean Castle Country Park is on 16 June 2015.If you have not already paid for your child’s trip please send payment of £5 with your child to school – they can give their payment directly to the class teacher.
Uniform Orders
Our uniform supplier (Gilmour Sports) has advised that in order for uniforms to be ready for collection at the end of June 2015, all orders should be submitted no later than Friday, 8th May 2015. If orders are not submitted at this time, the order will not be ready for collection until our In-Service Days on either Tuesday 11th or Wednesday 12th August 2015.

should be placed in a sealed envelope with the payment, either in the form of a cheque or exact money, and the details outlined below written on the front of an envelope. May Day Holiday and General Election – School Closures
School and Nursery will be closed on Monday 4 May for the May Day Holiday. School and Nursery will also be closed on Thursday 7th May as the school is being used as a polling station for the General Election.
Understanding Children’s Behaviour Parents Workshops
Please see below a link for information on the workshops on Wednesday evenings in Barrhead High from 13 May to 3 June 2015 from 7-9pm. Workshops will be available for pre-school, primary and secondary aged children. In addition there will be a group targeted towards families with issues related to autism or Asperger’s and a group for Dads and male carers.

Cyber Safety Parent Workshops
Unfortunately the Cyber Safety Parent Workshops, due to take place this evening during Parent’s Evening ,have been cancelled due to illness. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Parents Evening taking place as planned.Thank you.
Cyber Safety Parent Workshops- 1 April
There will be two workshops at Parent’s Evening on 1 April. The first one is from 5.30PM-6PM and the second one from 7.30pm-8pm. PC McDowall will be running the workshops. A copy of the letter with more information is in the link below. Please let he school office know if you are able to attend either of the workshops.
Spring Break
School and nursery will close early at 2.30PM on Thursday 2 April for the Spring break and will reopen again on Monday 20 April.

Book Week and World Book Day
Friday 6th March is World Book Day. Pupils should come to school dressed as their favourite book character that day. Pupils will be given a competition to take part in this Friday and prizes will be given out at the World Book Day assembly on Friday 6th March.
Our annual Book Fayre will begin on Monday 9th March. The book stalls will be open during the day and after school for pupils to buy books. Each year we are able to pick a large number of books for classes and the school library from the commission made.

Rag Bag Collection
Our Eco Committee have organised a Rag Bag collection. Yesterday the distributed bags to the pupils. If you have clothing, shoes, handbags or other items you wish to recycle, please fill the bags and return to the school office. Rag Bag is a textile recycling company and we recieve funds for the school for each bag that is returned.

Active School Awards
Mrs Baxter will be attending our assembly before the end of term to issue awards to pupils who have been selected by coaches, teachers and volunteers to receive the award. Pupils have been chosen due to their excellent sportsmanship, determination and respect for others and the leaders whilst at the clubs. Awards will be issued to pupils who have also excelled in the sport/ activity.
Tri-Athlon event – Wednesday 25th February
Tri-Athlon event- Wednesday 25th February 2015.
Around 25 Pupils have been attending every week a Tri-athlon club at Woodfarm high. They have been training hard and have been getting fitter every week. Over the past 5 weeks they have been training towards a mini Tri-athlon event which will be held in Woodfarm High on Wednesday 25th February 4-5pm. Medals will be given out to 1st,2nd and 3rd places.
