Health & Wellbeing

The assembly programme focuses on celebrating pupils’ achievements whether within school or at home.

P5, P6 and P7 pupils use e-portfolios to record their achievements electronically with The Nursery Class, P1, P2, P3 and P4 writing Class Blogs to share their learning.

The after-school programme is well established and we offer a range of activities for all stages throughout the session, this is supported by our partnerships with Active Schools, Woodfarm Cluster, community coaches and local clubs.

Pupils take part in regular activities exploring personal relationships using a variety of resources such as Bounce Back. In Primary 6 & 7 pupils take part in a series of lessons exploring puberty, sexual health and relationships. An annual parent information evening is held in term 3/4 to allow parents to see resources being used and ask any relevant questions.

Pupils take part in Food Handling activities each session linked to a variety of Health and Wellbeing or IDL topics.

Outdoor learning activities are planned for physical education and across the curriculum, 2 staff are currently trained in Forest Schools. Pupils all take part in the Daily Mile programme when they walk or jog for a mile or 10 minutes.

We encourage all pupils to come to school with PE kit on the days they have PE. Please see attached timetable to check when your child’s class have PE in the gym hall or MUGA.
