Join us to celebrate 1 year to go until the Commonwealth Games.P4-S2 pupils are invited to participate in a morning or afternoon of sport and dance activities held at the NEW Eastwood High Sports Centre.
All sessions are FREE and children will take part in 5 different activities delivered by local club coaches.
Try a new sport and meet club coaches who will provide information on their club and membership opportunities.
Local athletes will be there to speak to children about their experiences in sport, inspiring the next generation.
Places are limited so please contact 0141 577 3008 to book your place on one of the slots either morning or afternoon across Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August. Please quote the reference for the session you wish to attend.
Drop-in volunteering sessions are also available to all pupils aged 16 or over. Just turn up anytime between 10am and 4pm on both days to find out more on how to get involved in sports coaching
Any S1 pupil who would like to audition for Guitar lessons should give their name to Miss Borland in music. Auditions will take place in D1 on Thursday 22nd at the start of lunch.
I will be holding trials straight after school on Tuesday 27th August. Any S1 pupil wanting to attend the trials should come and see me before Friday 23rd in the PE department.

Could the Swaziland Duke of Edinburgh pupils please update their EdofE profiles online to complete the expedition section.
Evidence should be uploaded to the site which can then be approved. This might include activity logs, photos, or maps.
This should be completed by Friday 23rd August at the latest.

Could any S5 or S6 pupil who is interested in playing for the senior football team please attend a trial game on Tuesday 20th August after school.
Huzzah! Comic Book Club will be making a triumphant return this year with even more superhero action.
If you are interesting in any of the following – comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime, horror, fantasy, science-fiction, video games, and just all round general geekery – then comic book club is right for you.
We are a nice wee bunch who are always looking for new members. If you’re thinking about joining the Justice League of Mearns Castle, pop along to room B8 in the English corridor every Wednesday for fun, food and fighting the forces of evil. Can’t wait to see you all there.
The chess club will meet on Thursday lunchtime at 12.30 in Room F7. Bring your lunch with you.
The club is open to pupils of all ages and stages, from experienced players to beginners who are interested in learning how to play.
New members will be made most welcome, and we particularly look forward to meeting new S1 pupils
