East Renfrewshire Sport and Dance Showcase

Join us to celebrate 1 year to go until the Commonwealth Games.P4-S2 pupils are invited to participate in a morning or afternoon of sport and dance activities held at the NEW Eastwood High Sports Centre.

All sessions are FREE and children will take part in 5 different activities delivered by local club coaches.

Try a new sport and meet club coaches who will provide information on their club and membership opportunities.

Local athletes will be there to speak to children about their experiences in sport, inspiring the next generation.

Places are limited so please contact 0141 577 3008 to book your place on one of the slots either morning or afternoon across Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August. Please quote the reference for the session you wish to attend.

Drop-in volunteering sessions are also available to all pupils aged 16 or over.  Just turn up anytime between 10am and 4pm on both days to find out more on how to get involved in sports coaching

Comic Book Club

Huzzah! Comic Book Club will be making a triumphant return this year with even more superhero action.

If you are interesting in any of the following – comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime, horror, fantasy, science-fiction, video games, and just all round general geekery – then comic book club is right for you.

We are a nice wee bunch who are always looking for new members. If you’re thinking about joining the Justice League of Mearns Castle, pop along to room B8 in the English corridor every Wednesday for fun, food and fighting the forces of evil. Can’t wait to see you all there.

Chess Club

The chess club will meet on Thursday lunchtime at 12.30 in Room F7.  Bring your lunch with you.

The club is open to pupils of all ages and stages, from experienced players to beginners who are interested in learning how to play.

New members will be made most welcome, and we particularly look forward to meeting new S1 pupils
