As part of the East Renfrewshire vocational programme, S6 pupil Amy-Jo Fairbairn along with other East Renfrewshire pupils, planned and prepared a three course feast at a special banquet for VIPs
Amy-Jo has been studying for the Culinary Art course and was awarded the Reed Kerr Curriculum for Excellence Award.
Could any pupil who wishes to take part in the Scottish Schools Equestrian Extravaganza at Ingliston Stud in Bishopton in May please come to see Mrs Livesey in F8 at the start of lunch on Monday 25th March.
All interested pupils MUST see Mrs Livesey by Wed 27th March at the very latest.

Faculty of Design S3 pupils are taking part in designing and building a light structure which will float in a lighting festival to be held in Rouken Glen park at nightfall.
Electric Glen in Rouken Glen Park will be taking place from February 14-17 when an illuminated trail will create a magical place for visitors. Tickets cost £5 per adult, £3 per child and a family of four ticket at £14 for all advance bookings.
On Thursday the 24th of January the light will be constructed in C10 by our S3 pupils.

Any S2 or S4 pupils who wish to enter a ballot for a place on a trip to Etihad Stadium to watch Manchester City v Chelsea on Sunday the 24th of February should see Mr. Brown in the P.E. Department as soon as possible. There are very limited S4 tickets and only approx 15 S2 tickets available so be quick!
Please note that you should not enter the ballot if you cannot be available on this date and you should be aware that the cost of this trip is £46. Please check with someone at home that you can definitely come before you enter the ballot.
The ballot will take place next Thursday, 24th of January and a list of successful applicants will be posted in PE.
If you are visiting Eastwood Leisure Centre in the next few week’s pop upstairs and look at the artwork from all of East Renfrewshire’s secondary schools.
Each school has a selection of outstanding SQA art & design folio work (Higher and Int 2).
A number of our pupils are part of this annual exhibition.
Entry is free and it runs from the 18th of January to the 31st of January.
The author Darren Shan will be visiting the school on Wednesday 23 January to talk about his new series of books “Zom-B”. Over 100 pupils from all year groups have put their names down to attend this visit. Pupils should check the noticeboard outside the library to make sure that they are on the list to attend. The talk will start at 1.15pm in the school theatre but all pupils must be seated by 12.55pm at the latest. The talk will end at 2.45pm. There will be Darren Shan books (including the Zom-B series) for sale at the event for pupils to buy and get signed by the author.
Miss McEachern will be issuing a letter to all pupils attending the visit at the start of next week with all the details of the event and book prices.
