Carnegie Book Group
Miss McEachern is looking for volunteers to join her Book Group. We will be reading and discussing the books which have been nominated for the Carnegie Book Award this year. So
- if you love reading!
- if you want to be the first to read lovely new books!
- if you want to discuss these books with like-minded pupils!
- if you want to meet new friends!
- if you have been in the Carnegie Book Group before (P7 or Secondary) or want to join for the first time!
Then give your name to Miss McEachern. The Book Group is open to all pupils from all year groups. Our first meeting will be Thu 24 April at 12.40pm in the library at lunchtime.
Science & Technology Magazine
Welcome to the first edition of the all new Science & Technology Magazine. The magazine has been created from a dedicated team of pupils from each year group. This edition has a range of articles and a competition for a new magazine logo.

School Meals Questionnaire – Pupils
East Renfrewshire Council are undertaking an online consultation with pupils on school meals. The survey will gather pupils’ views on areas such as favourite meals, how food is served, how you pay for the food and how you find out more about the school catering service.

U16’s Football Team
A big congratulations to the U16’s football team, who have finished runners up in the league, and qualified for the play-off’s.

Young Enterprise – Trenderprise
Congratulations to MCHS YES team Trenderprise on an excellent performance in the Renfrewshire Young Enterprise Regional Finals. In a competitive environment against 17 schools from across the region Trenderprise successfully picked up 4 awards in recognition of their efforts this year. The team presented an excellent performance and were a credit to themselves, their team and to the school. The awards achieved included:-
- Best Regional Team Award
- Marketing Award
- Runners up for Best Report
- Runners up for Best Presentation

Anti Bullying Poster Competition
Well done to all S1 pupils who took part in the Anti-Bullying poster competition in PSE.
The winners are:

- 2nd Place – Charlotte Fleming, Sophie Fletcher and Sophie Donaldson from Balmoral (30 points)
- 3rd Place – Chloe Nicol and Olivia Miller from Ramsay (20 points)
