Heriot-Watt University Virtual Open Day, Friday 3 July

These will provide key information on our programmes and campuses, as well as give attendees the opportunity to engage with current students through panel sessions and other live content. Our Edinburgh Campus event will take place on Friday 3 July, with details available on a wide range of subject areas including the Social Sciences, Technology and Engineering.

Those interested in pursuing Textiles and Design programmes are encouraged to register for the Scottish Borders Campus event that will run on the same date. Registration forms are available at https://www.hw.ac.uk/uk/visit/open-days.htm.

In addition to this activity, we will also be hosting a series of follow up webinar sessions between Monday 6 July and Friday 17 July. During this time, there will be further opportunities to put questions to our academic staff and admissions colleagues. As part of the programme, our Scottish and UK Recruitment Manager will lead two information sessions for parents and carers, covering not only the support Heriot-Watt University offers to students but also the broader higher education climate in Scotland. Free Use Of Office 0365 Proplus For Glow Users

For all Glow users, a reminder you get can free copies of Microsoft Office 2016 to use on your home devices – PC, Mac, phones and tablets.

This will enable the use of a range of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and OneNote ) on up to 15 home devices without cost (the 15 licences being split as 5 for PCs and/or Macs, 5 for tablets and 5 for phones).

To do this, login to Glow, from the launch pad click the Office 365 Home tile (image below) then the “Install Office apps” button and follow the instructions.


Note that if downloading to an iPad or iPhone the process is different, the apps should be downloaded from the App Store and then log in using the Glow username.
