Young Enterprise – Survey

Mearns Castle’s Young Enterprise Team this year has came up with the idea of creating a local cookbook designed to promote the local area and healthy eating.  It will contain recipes from some of the best restaurants in and around Glasgow and also give brief details about the restaurants.

We would appreciate it if you could take five minutes of your time to fill out the survey.  Click here to take part.

Please give your honest opinion! Thank you – the Enterprise Team

Thank you very much for your time, and helping us.

Congratulations

Well done to Ross Taylor, S6, Zak Vinter, S3, Kate Taylor, S4 and Keri Anderson, S6 for winning the qualifying event at the Scottish Schools Dry Slope Series on Saturday. They will compete in the finals on November 12th.

Additionally, on the Sunday, the team won the Dry Slope Championships at Hillend.  Mearns Castle took 1st and 2nd in the male category with Ross and Zak, respectively.  Kate finished 2nd in the girls and Keri finished 5th.  With over 180 skiers at the championships, this is an exceptional effort from our pupils.

Paralymic Torch

On Saturday 13th October between 9.30 and 11.30, the Paralympic torch is coming to the Sainsbury’s store at Darnley. This is your chance to have your photo taken along with the torch.

Sainsbury’s were very keen to ensure Mearns Castle pupils had this opportunity given our very close connections with all things Paralympic!

What about us I hear you cry!

After the success of last years show the Performing Arts department are exploring options for this year. However we need a talented cast and crew to take part.

So, if you are interested in being the new “Aidan” or indeed the new “Aidan’s mum” then please attend a short meeting next Tuesday 9th October at 12.40pm in room C4.

All year groups welcome – encourage a friend to come with you!
