Mearns Community Week

Recently the school opened it’s doors to the local commuinty as part of the Mearns Community Week.

At our assembly on February 15th we were delighted to welcome Aileen and Chris from Mearns Community Week who presented the school with a cheque for £600 from the money raised by the week’s events.

Wear What You Please Day

Wear What You Please Day

Thank you to everyone who contibuted to our Wear What You Please Day.

This was a special event organised to support one of our pupils who is a Special Olympian.

Amy from class Whalsay is a very keen Rhythmic Gymnast and is part of the West of Scotland Team taking part in the Special Olympics event in Bath.

Special Olympians have to raise their own funds to help support transport and accomodation.

It was decided to host a Wear What You Please Day and everyone paid a pound which Amy collected.

The final total has still to be confirmed but it looks like we have raised almost £200 so well done everyone.
